Primary School Introduction
Welcome to the EIS Meadows Primary School where the students are at the heart of everything we do.
As an authorized International Baccalaureate, (IB) World School, the Primary School offers the Primary Years Programme (PYP), for students from Early Years 1 through to Year 6. Through the PYP, we provide a meaningful context of teaching and learning which is transdisciplinary – where the learning is not confined within the boundaries of traditional subject areas but is supported and enriched by them. With the emphasis on the IB Learner Profile, students learn to be Open-Minded, Principled, Risk-Takers,
Reflective, Inquirers, Communicators, Caring, Balanced and Knowledgeable, empowering them to become responsible contributors to our world and its future.
As well as the teaching and learning programme, we provide students numerous opportunities to take an active role in the school community, through our ECO programme, leadership programme, sporting opportunities as well as opportunities to share their creative gifts and talents. Our After School Programme provides a wide range of activities from Arabic Reading to Rugby, Yoga to Choir, all intended to enrich and extend participation in school life beyond the classroom.
The Primary School has over 70 dedicated and committed Teaching Staff who understand the significant role they have in developing the academic, physical, social and creative growth of each individual student. They provide excellent teaching and learning programmes that establish high expectations within a caring environment. Each teacher will promote and celebrate the success of every child.
We strongly believe that education is a partnership between home and school. Through effective communication, we endeavor to keep parents informed about their child’s attainment and progress and also, opportunities to be involved in the learning journey of their child.
We are extremely proud of our school and invite you to visit us to fully appreciate what we can offer you and your child.
