Admission Process

1. Registration:

New admission for the academic year 2024-2025 are ongoing. For admissions kindly contact the School Registration at subarna@eischools.ae 

2. Application:

Parents must complete the school Online application to start the application process. A list of supporting documents should be included upon submitting the application (click here for documents required). A non-refundable, AED 525/-(5% VAT Included) is required as advance administration fee in order for the application to be submitted and considered. ( Click here to view bank details)

NB: Transfer Certificate from the current school other than Dubai must be on the school letterhead with the school stamp and the Principal’s signature. Except for U.S.A, Europe, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, attestation of the Transfer Certificate by the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and U.A.E Embassy in the country of Transfer Certificate origin, is mandatory. 3. Acknowledgement

Within 2 working days of submitting the online application(s) you will receive a reference number. Thereafter contact the Admissions office to confirm the completion of the application process.

If you are applying for a place in a year group that is already full, you will be contacted by the school as soon as we receive notice of a withdrawal.

4.Assessment:

Interviews or assessments are scheduled once we receive the completed application along with the application fees . Completion of assessment does not guarantee a place at EIS-J. Priority will be given to siblings, Habtoor residents and then general applicants. Places will be offered only if the assessment is successful and as seats become available.

Early Years

For entry into Early Years, the student will not be assessed .

All children must be fully toilet trained.

Children must know how to use the toilet and be able to communicate verbally to an adult when they need to .

Primary School
For entry into Years 1 – 3, all students, upon application, will be required to complete an entrance assessment in Mathematics and English. For Years 1 – 3, this is teacher led.

For Years 4 – 6, all the students will be required to complete the CAT4 Assessment in a supervised environment at the most appropriate level of the student.

High School

For entry into Year 7 -11, all students will be required to complete the CAT4 Assessment in a supervised environment at the most appropriate level of the student

IBDP Years (Year 12 & Year 13)

For admission to Year 12, results from previous report cards and the interview response are combined to determine admission

For Year 12 , an interview is required with the IB Coordinator in addition to the CAT 4

For Year 13 admissions are not considered except for students in good standing transferring from IB Schools, taking courses that match those offered at EISJ.

Both Primary and High School assessments are evaluated internally by the Academic staff and are measured against IB criteria. The Principal of the School reviews the student’s complete application pack, inclusive of entrance assessment, previous reports, compatibility to IB Programme of study, previous school’s curriculum, and if necessary parental/student interview to ascertain acceptability and appropriate year level. Please note that we will review your child’s Academic history in terms of adaptability to IB and make recommendations on compatibility of courses.

Upon approval the student’s completed application is forwarded to the KHDA for final approval.

5. Offer:

Following successful completion of the assessment and confirmation of seat availability, we are able to formally offer a place at the school.

Parents will be given 7 working days to make the payment. Failing to do so, the offer will be withdrawn. Parents are required to sign an acceptance form and pay school fees in advance. Once the relevant term fees have been paid, the signing of a parent- school contract is deemed mandatory in accordance with the KHDA requirements.

In case of withdrawal or no-show, 10% of the total tuition fees is non-refundable/non-transferable, in accordance with the Knowledge & Human Development Authority (KHDA).

6. Additional Information

Parents of newly accepted IBDP students will be contacted by the Academic staff to discuss subject options. Term dates, calendar information (Click here to view school calendar), uniform(Click here to view uniform and dresscodes) requirements and details of our school - parent communication system will be shared with new parents at the time of enrollment.
