If you are applying for a place in a year group that is already full, you will be contacted by the school as soon as we receive notice of a withdrawal.

4. Assessment :

Interviews or assessments are scheduled once we receive the completed application. Completion of assessment does not guarantee a place at EIS-M. Priority will be given to siblings, then general applicants. Places will be offered only if the assessment is successful and as seats become available.

Primary School

For entry into Early Years, the student will be assessed by a member of the Early Years Team. For entry into Years 1 – 6, all students, upon application, will be required to complete an entrance assessment in Mathematics and English. For Years 1 – 3, this is teacher led. For Years 4 – 6, the student is alone but supervised.

High School

Students upon application will be required to complete an entrance assessment in Mathematics and English.

Both Primary and High School assessments are evaluated internally by the Academic staff and are measured against IB criteria. The Principal of the School reviews the student’s complete application pack, inclusive of entrance assessment, previous reports, compatibility to IB programme of study, previous school’s curriculum, and if necessary parental/student interview to ascertain acceptability and appropriate year level. Please note that we will review your child’s Academic history in terms of adaptability to IB and make recommendations on compatibility of courses.

Upon approval the student’s completed application pack is forwarded to the KHDA for final approval.

5. Offer :

Following successful completion of the assessment and confirmation of seat availability, we are able to formally offer a place at the school.

Parents will be given 7 working days to make the payment. Failing to do so, the offer will be withdrawn. Parents are required to sign an acceptance form and pay school fees in advance. Once the relevant term fees have been paid, the signing of a parent- school contract is deemed mandatory in accordance with the KHDA requirements.

In case of withdrawal or no-show, 30% of the total tuition fees is non-refundable/non-transferable, in accordance with the Knowledge & Human Development Authority (KHDA).

6. Additional Information :

Parents of newly accepted IBDP students will be contacted by the Academic staff to discuss subject options.
