Organisations
Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA)
Under the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President
and Prime Minister of UAE, Ruler of Dubai, Knowledge and Human Development Authority
was established by decree 30/2006 to develop all knowledge and human resource sectors
in the Emirate of Dubai. KHDA aims to develop the education and human resource sectors
and bring them on par with international standards and prevalent best practices,
while keeping in mind the requirements of the job market.

Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau (DSIB)
The Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau (DSIB) will provide comprehensive information
on the standard of education in Dubai, which will inform improvement planning at
school and policy level.
The Dubai Schools Inspections Bureau is a new organisation within the Knowledge
and Human Development Authority (KHDA) developed to define and measure education
quality in order to support the improvement of education in Dubai.

The Committee on Institution-Wide Accreditation (CIWA) is a bridging division of
